Volunteering Announcement
The Arab Organization for Human Rights in North Europa is opening volunteer opportunities to join its international team assessing the state of human rights in North European countries.
We are seeking individuals with commitment and passion for human rights who are capable of working within a multidisciplinary international team.
The Work: The program aims to collect and analyze information related to the human rights situation in North European countries and to provide necessary recommendations for improving conditions in these regions.
- Phase 1: You will collect and analyze information by reviewing government reports, reports from international organizations, human rights organizations, as well as reports from independent media and NGOs. In addition to direct information received from members and volunteers, along with complaints, surveys, and both public and private meetings.
- Phase 2: You will be involved in drafting recommendations and reports for relevant stakeholders to foster cooperation on human rights improvement through comprehensive, time-bound action programs.
- Phase 3: Volunteers will follow up on the implementation of recommendations, monitor progress, and regularly update reports to keep pace with developments.
Required Skills:
- Residing in one of the North European countries (France, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland).
- Ability to dedicate 4-8 hours per week for at least 3 months.
- Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in the language of your country of residence.
- English language skills are an additional asset.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs (such as Microsoft Office) and social media and interactive applications.
- A desire to learn and deepen your understanding of human rights issues and practices within the context of Northern Europe.
